I recently shared with you all about BakedHR, a YouTube channel Jazmine Wilkes and I started. You can also catch some content on Instagram. If you’re not subscribed to our channel or following us on IG yet, I just made it real easy for you to fix that! Anyway, I wanted to pop in and give you a rundown of some topics we’ve covered with links to the videos:
Can HR Have Friends at Work? We talk about boundaries and maintaining relationships at work. In a follow up conversation we have a guest chat with us about real stories of relationship challenges in the workplace.
Being the Work Mom: This one probably isn’t what you think, unless you have followed Jazmine or myself for some amount of time. We are extremely opposed to family terms in the workplace. Including Work Spouse.
Networking: Why do we all hate it (yes, Jazmine and I kind of hate it & the anxiety it induces) and why it’s actually necessary.
Influencers: You get the best of both worlds here- Jazmine, the influencer and Kristina, not an influencer. Are we hurting our profession by building up influencers? You tell us, because we really want to know. Speaking of hurting our profession… a conversation (with our favorite lawyer friend) that walks us through how the SHRM petition started.
Managers: Do our expectations match their preparation?
Professionalism: What does that mean when you’re off the clock?
How to work in chaos: This one is more of a plea from us to you to tell us how to stay focused on the job at hand while everything around us is on fire and how to help our employees stay safe and focused.
You can expect new YouTube content almost every Wednesday from us. You can also go ahead and set your reminders for Instagram Live sessions on Sunday nights at 7pm CST. We have a lot of fun with these- we’ve done industry rants, #BakedHRFail stories from our own careers, and other mini series. On the 17th Jazmine is going to rant about millennials and I CANNOT WAIT… LOL! Our goal is to be a safe space for real conversations about what we do and how we do it, while having fun! We hope you’ll join us and contribute to the conversation.
