What You Will Do:
· Conduct combustion testing of solid rocket motors, igniters, and other mission critical components in support of multiple programs.
· Ensure that all test operations meet test objectives and are conducted safely and in accordance with company policies.
· Develop engineering documentation such as requirements documents, test plans and procedures, assembly drawings and procedures, manufacturing drawings and design reviews.
· Design and develop test and assembly fixtures and other ground support equipment.
· Assemble, disassemble, and evaluate test articles including the handling of ordinance.
· Interpret collected data and analyze components post-test for performance evaluation or to diagnose anomalous events.
· Participate in test readiness reviews, design reviews, and post-test data presentations.
· Operate basic hand and power tools.
· Physical demands include lifting up to 50lbs, extensive walking, and exposure to the elements.
· Develop budgets and schedules for projects.
· Support all phases of manufacturing, assembly, and test of your designs.
What You Need to Have:
· 3+ years of experience in related role in aerospace, automotive or other relevant industry
· B.S. or M.S. in Mechanical Engineering
· Strong understanding of engineering fundamentals in structural, thermal, and fluids analysis.
· Possess the ability to generate and interpret technical drawings, including P&IDs and GD&T.
· Demonstrated experience in modern CAD and FEA tools.
· Knowledge of machine shop best industry practices and ability to evaluate their capabilities.
· Possess good written and verbal communication skill.
· Demonstrate good time management skills.
· Work well with others in a distributed matrix organization.
· Must be a US Persons as defined by § 120.62 of the ITAR
