Currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Building Design Lead Engineer to join our team and support the design, construction, and operational transition for a Production Site in Luling, TX. This role is critical to ensuring the successful execution of building design and construction efforts, as well as the commissioning and maintenance of site equipment and processes.

Responsibilities:
Design and Construction Coordination:
Interface with internal building design team to drive requirements for design and construction efforts for multiple buildings on site.
Collaborate with MEPs, architects, and contractors to ensure alignment on design and construction documents.
Coordinate efforts between civil design intent, project leadership, and contractors to ensure seamless execution.
Engineering and Documentation:
Produce layouts, site plans, schematics, sketches, maps, and graphics to support engineering and final drawing packages.
Review and validate building and construction documents for accuracy and completeness.
Project Management Support:
Assist the development program manager with construction schedules and equipment/process commissioning timelines.
Develop maintenance and inspection schedules for building process equipment.
Operational Transition:
Support the transition to building operations once site development is complete, ensuring all systems are operational and compliant.
Requirements:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, mechanical engineering, building services engineering, construction engineering, or a closely related field.
Experience:
Relevant experience in building design and construction, HVAC, mechanical systems design, utility design, and/or construction engineering.
Experience with MEP systems and building design, including specialty process equipment such as ovens, stands, and boilers.
Preferred experience in industrial or chemical facilities.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in BIM (Building Information Modeling), specifically Revit.
Proficiency in AutoCAD; Autodesk Civil 3D is a plus for MEP design.
Ability to review building and construction documents for accuracy and completeness.
Proficiency in SolidWorks is a plus.
Compliance Knowledge: Knowledge of federal OSHA regulations and DOD standards for construction is a plus.
Other Requirements:
Must be able to navigate job site and construction terrain.
Willingness to travel 25–30%, with one onsite week per month (Monday–Friday).
Ability to transition to building operations once site development is complete.
Preferred Qualifications:
Strong experience interfacing with MEP engineers and architects.
Familiarity with specialty process equipment such as ovens, stands, and boilers.
Proven ability to work in industrial or chemical facility environments.
