Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, mechanical engineering, building services engineering, construction engineering, or a closely related field.
- Relevant experience in building design and construction, HVAC, mechanical systems design, utility design, and/or construction engineering.
- Proficiency in BIM (Building Information Modeling), specifically Revit.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD; Autodesk Civil 3D a plus for MEP (mechanical, electrical, plumbing) design.
- Ability to review building and construction documents for accuracy and completeness.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks is a plus.
- Knowledge of federal OSHA regulations and DOD standards for construction is a plus.
- Experience interfacing with MEPs (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing engineers) and Architects is highly desirable.
- Must be able to navigate job site and construction terrain.
- Reside local to Luling, TX or Austin, TX area and willing to travel 60%-100% to Texas Production Site in Luling, TX.
- Ability to transition to building operations once site development is complete.
Responsibilities:
Design and Construction Coordination:
- Interface with internal building design team to drive requirements for design and construction efforts for multiple buildings on site.
- Collaborate with MEPs, Architects, and contractors to ensure alignment on design and construction documents.
- Coordinate efforts between civil design intent, project leadership, and contractors to ensure seamless execution.
Engineering and Documentation:
- Produce layouts, site plans, schematics, sketches, maps, and graphics to support engineering and final drawing packages.
- Review and validate building and construction documents for accuracy and completeness.
Project Management Support:
- Assist the development program manager with construction schedules and equipment/process commissioning timelines.
- Develop maintenance and inspection schedules for building process equipment.
Operational Transition:
Support the transition to building operations once site development is complete, ensuring all systems are operational and compliant.
