We are seeking an experienced Product Manager to help define and deliver solutions that support real-world missions and solve meaningful customer problems. In this role, you will shape product strategy, define roadmaps, and translate customer needs into executable plans while partnering closely with Program Management, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain teams.
This position plays a critical role in ensuring products meet cost, schedule, performance, and compliance requirements throughout the full product lifecycle. It is ideal for a product leader with defense industry experience who thrives in cross-functional, highly regulated environments and is motivated by mission-driven work.
Minimum Requirements and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred
- 8+ years of product management experience within the defense industry or a similarly regulated environment
- Experience supporting DoD or government-funded programs
- Familiarity with DoD acquisition processes and contracting
- Working knowledge of manufacturing processes, supply chain operations, and quality systems
- Strong ability to collaborate across technical and business disciplines
- Proven strategic decision-making, negotiation, and communication skills
- Excellent leadership and stakeholder management capabilities
- Active U.S. security clearance or ability to obtain and maintain one
Major Responsibilities and Duties
- Define and maintain product vision and roadmap aligned with U.S. and international customer priorities and long-term growth objectives
- Manage the product lifecycle from concept through development, production, and delivery
- Ensure compliance with applicable defense regulations, including ITAR and DFARS
- Partner with cross-functional teams to achieve cost, schedule, and performance objectives
- Conduct market and competitive analysis to identify capability gaps and growth opportunities
- Interface with U.S. and international customers and prime contractors to gather requirements and provide program updates
- Prepare and support program documentation, including Statements of Work (SOWs), specifications, system designs, and compliance reports
- Monitor product performance and recommend improvements based on customer feedback and mission outcomes
- Track, manage, and report cost, schedule, and performance metrics to support successful execution
- Support business development efforts, including proposal development, pricing strategies, and compliance reviews
- Perform other duties as assigned
