Join a Huntsville-based engineering team as a Senior Electrical Engineer developing advanced defense systems. This fully onsite role offers the opportunity to design and integrate cutting-edge electrical technologies while supporting mission-critical defense applications.

Join a team developing advanced defense technologies that support mission-critical ground and counter-unmanned aerial system (C-UAS) operations. This is an opportunity to contribute to the design, development, and integration of sophisticated electrical systems used in next-generation defense platforms.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer who thrives in a collaborative engineering environment and enjoys solving complex technical challenges. The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in electrical design, system integration, and product development while supporting innovative solutions for defense applications.

This position is fully on-site in Huntsville, AL working a 9/80 schedule.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related technical discipline; equivalent experience may be considered.
  • 10+ years of progressively responsible engineering experience.
  • Experience working in a government contracting environment.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of engineering principles related to product design, manufacturing, and system integration.
  • Experience with remote weapon systems, mechanical turret systems, or slip ring technologies.
  • Proficiency in:
    • Circuit design and analysis
    • PCB design and layout
    • High-voltage pulsed power systems
    • Microcontroller and FPGA integration
  • Experience using Altium Designer and related simulation tools.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary engineering teams.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and support electrical systems for advanced defense and aerospace applications.
  • Create and review electrical schematics, PCB layouts, and supporting technical documentation.
  • Support the integration of microcontrollers, FPGA-based systems, sensors, power electronics, and other hardware components.
  • Perform system-level analysis, troubleshooting, and validation testing.
  • Collaborate with mechanical, software, manufacturing, and systems engineering teams throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Support design reviews and provide technical guidance on engineering solutions and best practices.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on product performance, reliability, manufacturability, and cost efficiency.
  • Ensure designs comply with customer requirements, industry standards, and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Provide technical support during prototype development, testing, and production activities.
