The Software Developer performs technical and analytical duties related to design, development and programming of computer applications and software systems over a variety of platforms. This position is also responsible for developing project time and cost estimates and has a thorough understanding of hardware, software and programming languages used in his or her environment. In addition, this role will lead the activities of other team members in planning, designing, development and programming.
WHAT YOUR DAY WILL LOOK LIKE
· Writes code in accordance with the design document.
· Runs code efficiently.
· Analyzes performance indicators to ensure systems are operating efficiently and recommends improvements.
· Ensures projects meet appropriate time schedules.
· Keeps users and leadership informed of the status of projects.
· Provides guidance and training to less-experienced developers and programmers.
· Provides excellent customer service to all internal and external customers.
· Other work-related duties as assigned by your leader.
· Regular and reliable attendance is required.
· Follows all company policies and procedures.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
· Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT or related field is required.
· Three years of Oracle application framework/JDeveloper, SQL, PL/SQL development experience is required.
· One year of experience directly related to Oracle E-Business Suite is required.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
· Strong analytical skills.
· Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications with an emphasis on highly available and scalable global solutions.
· Strong working knowledge of Oracle Workflow.
· Technical and functional knowledge of the Oracle E-Business Suite.
· Oracle Developer Suite (Forms, Reports), BI/XML Publisher.
· Web services (REST or SOAP) Development.
· Oracle Application Development Framework (ADF).
· Mobile Application Development.
· Architecture (Cloud, Web Services, SOA).
· Exposure to BPEL/WebLogic or similar Middleware Products.
· Requires strong multitasking skills.
· Self-starter and able to deliver results on a proactive and independent basis.
· Ability to work independently with limited general supervision.
· Interpersonal skills.
· Works well in a team environment.
· Partners with both business and technical team members.
· Proficient in application tools OA Framework/JDeveloper, SQL, PL/SQL.
WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL ASPECTS OF THE JOB
The work environment for this position is that of a typical office environment where the noise level is mostly quiet. This position requires you to use your hands for many different tasks and to talk, hear, walk, stand and sit. You may be occasionally required to lift or move up to 10 pounds.
