Contracts Administrator role supporting government and commercial contracts, including subcontract management, FAR/DFARS compliance, and full lifecycle contract administration.

Currently recruiting an experienced Contracts Administrator to support a team in Huntsville, Alabama. This role requires hands-on experience in full lifecycle contract administration across both government and commercial contracts. The Contracts Administrator will be responsible for drafting, negotiating, administering, and closing a wide range of agreements, with a strong emphasis on subcontract management.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and contractual requirements while serving as a key point of contact for internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Draft, negotiate, and administer subcontracts of all types, including modifications, amendments, and change actions, ensuring appropriate regulatory flow-downs and compliance throughout performance
  • Draft, negotiate, and manage additional agreements such as NDAs, teaming agreements, purchase orders, and related documents
  • Manage contract and subcontract closeout activities, ensuring all deliverables and compliance requirements are satisfied
  • Ensure all contractual obligations are properly documented and aligned with applicable terms, conditions, and regulations
  • Serve as a liaison with internal teams, customers, vendors, and leadership on contractual matters
  • Support proposal efforts, including managing data calls, interfacing with customers, and ensuring completion of contract volumes
  • Prepare purchase requisitions and orders, develop RFQs, and support vendor evaluation and selection
  • Manage property purchases in accordance with applicable regulations and company policies
  • Maintain organized, accurate contract files and documentation in compliance with internal procedures and regulatory requirements
  • Review new contracts and subcontracts, coordinating cross-functional input and approvals (e.g., finance, program management, pricing, security, leadership)
  • Support internal and external audits, ensuring alignment with quality and regulatory standards
  • Apply best practices in contract language and maintain working knowledge of relevant federal regulations (e.g., FAR, DFARS, GSAM, NFS)
  • Monitor regulatory updates impacting contracting and proposal activities, proactively maintaining current knowledge and best practices

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Acquisition, or a related field and at least 2 years of relevant experience; OR a minimum of 4 years of direct contract-related experience in lieu of a degree
  • Experience drafting and negotiating subcontracts required
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance

Preferred Qualifications

  • NCMA certification
  • Strong understanding of federal contracting compliance, including FAR/DFARS, DCAA, DCMA, and related regulations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with minimal supervision
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Solid understanding of federal contracting processes
  • Strong interpersonal skills for collaboration with internal and external stakeholders
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities
