oin our team as a Logistics Planning & Sustainment Manager and play a critical role in planning, developing, and executing lifecycle sustainment strategies for Army weapon systems. This position is responsible for delivering integrated logistics solutions that ensure system readiness, maintainability, and affordability throughout the system lifecycle.
The Logistics Planning & Sustainment Manager leads maintenance planning, provisioning, logistics analysis, and training development in alignment with the DoD’s Integrated Product Support (IPS) framework, Army logistics standards, and applicable MIL-STD requirements. Working closely with engineering, sustainment, and program management teams at Redstone Arsenal and supporting organizations, this role integrates reliability-centered maintenance (RCM), Level of Repair Analysis (LORA), operations and support cost analysis, and technical data development to provide comprehensive, mission-ready product support.
Minimum Requirements and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in logistics, engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3–5 years of experience in logistics planning or sustainment roles
- Familiarity with Army logistics standards, Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) processes, and MIL-STD documentation
- Strong understanding of ILS elements, provisioning, and maintenance planning
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance
- Proficiency in logistics analysis tools and the MS Office Suite
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to travel up to 25%
Major Responsibility Areas and Duties
- Develop maintenance concepts and conduct reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) analyses
- Create predictive logistics and sustainment plans, including estimation of Mean Time to Repair (MTTR)
- Perform Maintenance Task Analysis (MTA) and Level of Repair Analysis (LORA)
- Prepare Operations and Support (O&S) cost analyses
- Analyze diagnostics, testability, and system supportability
- Develop, validate, and maintain operating and maintenance instructions
- Create training materials to support operator and maintainer courses
- Execute provisioning activities, including:
- Identification of support items and field-replaceable spares
- Performance of Logistics Support Analysis (LSA)
- Preparation of engineering and technical data for provisioning
- Perform other duties as assigned
