About the Opportunity
We’re partnering with a growing consulting firm that helps organizations transform their culture by strengthening leadership, increasing employee engagement, and improving business performance. As the firm continues to grow, they’re looking to add a Consulting Portfolio Manager to their team in Huntsville, AL.
This isn’t a traditional project management role. It’s an opportunity for an experienced consultant to take ownership of a portfolio of strategic engagements while playing a meaningful role in client relationships, account growth, and team development.
The Consulting Portfolio Manager will work directly with executive and government leaders, lead and mentor consultants, and help shape the continued growth of the practice. Engagements span federal and commercial clients and focus on complex organizational and workforce challenges.
What You’ll Do
In this role, you’ll:
- Lead a portfolio of complex consulting engagements from strategy through execution
- Build trusted relationships with executive, C-suite, and government leaders
- Manage multiple concurrent engagements while maintaining a high standard of client delivery
- Identify opportunities to expand client relationships and grow existing accounts
- Lead, mentor, and develop consultants across multiple engagements
- Provide strategic guidance across organizational transformation, workforce strategy, succession planning, culture, change management, and leadership development
- Partner with firm leadership to support the continued growth and development of the consulting practice
- Navigate complex organizational challenges and translate them into practical, actionable strategies for clients
What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate brings:
- 8+ years of experience in consulting, organizational development, strategic human capital, or a related field
- Experience advising C-suite executives, SES-level leaders, or other senior decision-makers
- A track record of successfully leading multiple complex consulting engagements at the same time
- Experience building and growing client relationships
- Experience leading, mentoring, and developing consultants
- Strong executive communication, facilitation, and relationship-management skills
- The ability to operate comfortably in complex, client-facing environments
- U.S. citizenship
- An active Secret Clearance is preferred, or the ability to obtain one
Why This Role
This is an opportunity for someone who wants more ownership than a typical consulting role offers. You’ll have the chance to influence client strategy, develop consultants, strengthen key accounts, and contribute to the growth of the broader practice.
If you enjoy solving complex organizational challenges, thrive in front of executive clients, and want to have a meaningful voice in how a consulting practice grows, this could be a strong next step in your career.
