The selected candidates will serve on the MBSE/Digital Engineering team in support of Boeing and programs such as the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) Ground-Based Midcourse Defense (GMD) Systems Integration and Test Readiness (GMD-SITR) Program.
This position will work 100% on-site in Huntsville, AL.
Job Details:
- Apply traditional systems engineering methodologies to complex missile systems in alignment with program requirements and objectives.
- Utilize SysML/Cameo and UAF to model system architectures.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to translate operational needs into system requirements.
- Mentor junior engineers and share expertise on best practices and tool usage.
- Interface with stakeholders, both internal and from the U.S. government, to gather requirements, provide updates, and solicit feedback.
- Lead and participate in design reviews, ensuring all system requirements are met and validated.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in systems engineering and continuously seek opportunities to implement improvements.
- Assist in the preparation of technical reports, briefings, and other documentation.
Required Qualifications:
- 5 years of Systems Engineering experience for defense or aerospace applications.
- 2+ years of experience in Model Based Systems Engineering and/or Digital Engineering.
- A solid working knowledge of systems architectures, requirements engineering, requirements verification, systems test, and system integration.
- Demonstrated experience with U.S. government missile system programs or similar complex systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to work on complex technical problems.
- Practical written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex topics to various audiences.
- Candidates must be dedicated, solutions-oriented professionals who can collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver results.
- A working knowledge of MBSE tools (Cameo and SysML), DOORS, UAF, etc.
Desired Qualifications:
- Understanding of and interest in Digital Engineering concepts, including Digital Twins, Digital Threads, Digital Engineering Environments, and Digital Dashboards.
- Experience in leading and mentoring engineering teams.
- Familiarity with agile methodologies and their application in systems engineering.
Required Education Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or higher in Systems, Electrical, Computer, Aerospace, or Mechanical Engineering. A degree in other STEM fields may be acceptable with appropriate MBSE experience.
