We are seeking a Responsible Systems Engineer (RSE) to lead system architecture development and requirements definition efforts supporting advanced defense and missile defense programs. This role will work across cross-functional engineering teams to develop system-level capabilities using Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methodologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead system architecture development and requirements definition activities
- Apply MBSE principles to evaluate functional, interface, and performance impacts
- Conduct trade studies and architectural analyses
- Develop and maintain Change Notices (CNs) and system specifications
- Define and maintain architectural models and interface definitions
- Support requirements traceability from system-level to element-level requirements
- Prepare and present technical briefings and engineering documentation
- Collaborate across engineering disciplines to support program objectives
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Engineering, Mathematics, or Physics
- Experience with architecture development and requirements decomposition
- Strong MBSE experience using Cameo/MSOSA and DOORS
- Experience supporting complex defense or missile defense systems
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to lead small technical teams and work collaboratively
- Active DoD Secret Clearance required (Top Secret preferred)
