Position Overview
We are seeking a Senior Cyber Capability Developer to build and extend mission-focused cyber capabilities supporting digital forensics and incident response operations. This position is ideal for a full-stack developer who enjoys solving complex technical challenges while delivering tools that directly support operational missions.
The role involves developing Python-based back-end services, React front-end applications, automation scripts, and data processing capabilities for diverse forensic data sources. Priorities are driven by operational needs, requiring adaptability and rapid delivery of new functionality.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop full-stack applications using Python (Django) and React
- Build new capabilities to process diverse forensic data formats
- Develop scripts and modules that extend existing forensic analysis tools
- Enhance cyber capabilities to support evolving operational requirements
- Containerize and deploy applications using Docker
- Develop automation scripts using Bash and PowerShell
- Manage and optimize PostgreSQL databases supporting forensic workflows
- Collaborate closely with forensic examiners and incident responders to rapidly deliver mission-driven solutions
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with 8+ years of relevant experience, OR
- Associate degree with 11+ years of experience, OR
- High School Diploma/GED with 14+ years of experience
- Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility and ability to obtain a CI Polygraph
- U.S. Citizenship
- Experience as a full-stack developer supporting both front-end and back-end applications
- Ability to rapidly prototype, develop, and deploy software in an operational environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Active TS/SCI with CI Polygraph
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a related field
- Experience with digital forensics tools and methodologies
- Familiarity with SANS SIFT Workstation
- Experience with incident response and evidence handling
- Knowledge of forensic artifacts including:
- Disk images (E01 and RAW)
- Memory analysis
- Registry hives
- Browser artifacts
- File system artifacts
- Experience working with COTS, GOTS, and custom cyber tools
- Familiarity with forensic data processing pipelines and operational cyber environments
